When you arrive for your appointment, you will first have an initial consultation with your clinician. During this time, the area will be examined, the diagnosis confirmed, and the treatment plan discussed.

If you have booked same-day treatment, we will then prepare you for the procedure. This includes completing the consent process, taking pre-procedure photographs where required, and applying a topical numbing agent in privacy.

The numbing cream is allowed sufficient time to take effect (often up to 60 minutes for the anal area). Your clinician will carefully check that the area is fully numb before proceeding with treatment.
