For male patients, we recommend avoiding passing urine for 1-2 hours before your appointment. This is to ensure that you are able to pass urine when you visit the clinic and that we can get a better quality sample.

Yes. You can bring your partner, friend or family member to your appointment.

However, if you feel that you would rather not bring someone to the appointment, rest assured that our staff are here to support you and make you comfortable in any way possible. Clarewell Clinics is a safe space.

You do not need to make any special arrangements for after your procedure. However, if you would feel more comfortable, you may request a family member/friend/partner to accompany you on the way home.

The Drop & Go service is not designed for those experiencing symptoms.

If you find that you need to discuss exactly which tests you require, we would recommend that you book a consultation as the Drop & Go service is designed for those who know exactly what tests they need.

The majority of results are available in 4 hours. There are certain tests that can take longer (e.g up to 4 working days - you can see this in the "Available Tests" section above.

If your test has come back positive, you are able to receive treatment from your GP, NHS Sexual Health Clinic or from ourselves - the option is yours.

We are able to offer a complimentary follow up call for those who received a positive/abnormal result from ourselves. If your results are negative and you would like further discussion, we invite you to book an consultation.
