Pain in testicles
Epididymitis is inflammation of the epididymis, the tubes located at the back of the testicles. These tubes store and transport sperm from the testes. It is during this process that sperm is matured.
Orchitis is inflammation of the testicles themselves. As a solitary symptom this is less common and is usually associated with mumps infection in post pubescent males.
Sometimes inflammation of both of these areas occurs and this is referred to as epididymo-orchitis.
