Clarewell Clinics Birmingham

At Clarewell Clinics Birmingham, we provide private medical abortions (often called 'the pill'), offering a safe, non-surgical method to end pregnancies up to 9 weeks and 6 days. This approach allows you to manage the process in the comfort and privacy of your own home, with the reassurance of professional medical support accessible online from our Birmingham base.

The journey starts with a confidential online questionnaire and a video consultation with one of our compassionate, experienced clinicians. This ensures the procedure is suitable for you and allows us to address any concerns. Following your consultation, we will arrange for you to receive your medications discreetly. The process involves taking Mifepristone first, followed by Misoprostol 24 to 48 hours later at home.

Throughout this period, our Birmingham team is available to provide online support and guidance. We prioritise your comfort, offering advice on managing side effects like cramping and bleeding. Three weeks after taking the medication, you will use a provided pregnancy test to confirm the abortion was successful. We are committed to providing a supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential environment throughout your experience with our Birmingham clinic.

Important Travel Notice: Temporary Road Closures (19th-25th June)

Due to filming taking place in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, temporary road closures will be in effect in the surrounding area between 19th and 25th June.

The clinic will remain open as usual throughout this period.

Patients attending appointments on 23rd June (11:00am-7:00pm) and 25th June (5:00pm-11:00pm) may experience minor delays due to filming activity on Hylton Street and nearby roads. Pedestrian access to the clinic will be maintained at all times, and any temporary hold-ups are expected to last no more than approximately three minutes.

We kindly recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey. If you experience any difficulty accessing the clinic, members of the filming team will be on-site to assist patients and guide them to the clinic entrance if required.

If you have any concerns about accessing the clinic, please do not hesitate to contact us.
